Register > Add Contacts > Add Newsfeeds

1) Register
If you have an existing jabber account, enter your Jabber ID and password and press "Start!".
To setup a new account click on the "New User" button.
If you are behind a firewall or corporate network, click here to learn how to setup Gush.

You can register with the Jabber server of your choice or simply choose one of the servers provided. Press the "Connect" button and Gush will contact the server to retrieve the registration information. After filling in your information, press "Submit". Your account will be created and you will be automatically logged into Gush.

2) Add Contacts
To add a contact, open the Buddy List panel in the Side bar, click on a group and select "Add Contact..." in the context-menu. Alternatively, press Ctrl + A when the Buddy List panel is open. In the "Add Contact" dialog, fill in your friend or colleague's Jabber ID.

3) Add Newsfeeds
To add a newsfeed, open the News panel in the Side bar, click on a group and select "Add Newsfeed..." in the context-menu. Alternatively, press Ctrl + A when the News panel is open.
The subscription dialog allows a number of ways to enter the locations of newsfeeds. You can enter the exact URL of an RSS Feed or OPML file. If don't know the URL of the feed, you can enter the URL of the website and Gush will attempt to find the feed for you. You can also enter the location of feeds stored on your local computer.
